How you get going

It comes switched on. You adjust it to the way you work.

  1. You choose how far ahead to look

    15, 30, 60 or 90 days, or six months. The default is 60.

  2. You decide which properties are in

    The ones you don't want scanned are excluded one by one. The whole feature can also be switched off.

  3. You choose how it tells you

    Always through the bell in the panel. The email summary and the WhatsApp alert are switched on separately.

What the scan does.

On the bookings and calendars already in the system.

  • Daily scan of bookings and imported calendars
  • Short gaps, 2 to 4 nights
  • Medium gaps, 5 to 14 nights
  • Urgent flag when it starts within the next 7 days
  • A suggestion for each type of gap
  • Alert in the panel, and by email or WhatsApp if you switch it on
  • Dismiss the gaps you don't care about
  • Direct link to the property's calendar

Questions

Does it change prices?

No. It shows you the gap and suggests what to do; you change the price yourself, from the calendar.

What counts as a gap?

A free stretch in the calendar: 2 to 4 nights is short and 5 to 14 is medium. Single nights and longer stretches aren't listed today.

Do I need WhatsApp Business?

Only if you want the WhatsApp alert, which goes out through your own Twilio account. The bell in the panel and the email need nothing else.

Does it look at portal bookings too?

Yes. It uses every booking in the system and the calendars you import over iCal, whichever portal they come from.
